The Riab Telecommunications Center, benefiting from a fixed-line telephone network and 4G mobile internet access, plays an important role in meeting the communication needs of both residents and visitors. According to the Gonabad Telecommunications Department, Riab is among the 65 villages in the county that enjoy access to telecommunications services. Coverage by Hamrah-e Aval and Irancell mobile networks, together with high-speed internet access, has enabled the activities of the Marketing Committee and digital media teams—the village’s most important instruments for promoting tourism attractions and local events online—as well as facilitating online reservations for eco-lodges. With government support, the upgrading of communication infrastructure is on the agenda to facilitate the digital marketing of tourism products and services.
