Rezaei Saracheh

Rezaei Saracheh (Rezaei House) is one of Riab Village’s nationally registered heritage buildings. It was inscribed on Iran’s National Heritage List on 19 May 2020 under Registration No. 32996.

Located in the northwestern part of the village, on Bakery Alley, this valuable property includes both a Howzkhaneh and a residential Saracheh. It represents a fine example of Qajar-era residential architecture in the desert.

Its spaces include a relatively small central courtyard, interconnected rooms with domed ceilings, and a relatively tall windcatcher that once directed airflow into underground halls. Beyond its architectural significance, the house preserves the memory of the Rezaei family, one of Riab’s longstanding families.

Despite the passage of time, the building’s primary structure remains intact and is considered an important site for visitors interested in vernacular architecture.
