The Pour Qeysar House, also known as the Khajeh Aboumansour Riabi Eco-Lodge, is approximately 200 years old and belonged to the merchant Qeysari family.
This adobe structure, with its nine traditional rooms, elevated veranda, windcatcher, and delicate stucco decorations, is one of the most beautiful houses registered on Iran’s National Heritage List in Riab. Its architecture was designed so that the veranda receives sunlight during winter while remaining shaded throughout the summer.
Following a carefully executed restoration project carried out with the participation of the owner family and the Cultural Heritage authorities, the house was transformed into an eco-lodge with a capacity of approximately 40 guests.
Visitors can stay in traditional floor-bedding rooms, order local dishes such as Jooshpareh, and experience the renowned hospitality culture of Riab. The Pour Qeysar House stands as a symbol of the successful transformation of a deteriorating historic building into a sustainable economic opportunity.
